Whenever it is not in use by royalty, the palace is open for guests to explore Her Majesty’s tapestries (a famous collection gifted for Queen Margrethe II’s birthday in 1990), the royal kitchens, adorned as they would have been in 1937), and other grand reminders of Denmark’s enduring royal past.
