Cindy Edwards and Stephanie Duttenhaver, founders of Sapelo Skin Care, first drifted into each other’s lives in 2010 when serving on the Savannah Book Festival board. “We both had a love for skin care and were dissatisfied with our options,” says Stephanie. Although neither woman had prior expertise in the beauty industry, their passion for creating high-quality products, coupled with Stephanie’s background in project management and Cindy’s experience in public relations and marketing, allowed them to chart the course for a business built on mutual respect, trust, and hard work.
