“I have a large metal cubby on my wall that I fill with miscellaneous bits that I want to keep for design purposes,” says Stephanie. “Just little things I love.” Coins, beads, and other baubles rest in divided trays with clear glass lids. And drawers and shelves brim with European books and papers. Storing resources not only close at hand but also within view makes it easier to reach for the perfect embellishment, whatever the project may be.
