Traquair House: A Lasting LegacyThe ground floor Still Room once served as a garden parlor before being repurposed as the housekeeper’s room. Positioned so she could hear the bells ring when summoned, the room also held certain items that needed to be kept under lock and key. A trompe l’oeil painting hangs above the fireplace, and cabinets display a wonderful collection of English and Chinese porcelain.
