And she is always mindful of certain considerations—comfort, practicality, budget, and originality—when devising a design scheme. “We plan it all down to the lamp shades,” says Cathy. “But all rooms evolve over time as the owners collect and refine their preferences.” She loves to mix diverse elements, blending old with new, rustic with refined, and simple with ornate for a juxtaposition of styles that perfectly expresses her clients’ personalities.
