Located on the fourth floor, the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon is the epitome of elegance. When the salon was redecorated several years ago, HM Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by both the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge, presided over the reopening celebration. Tables are set with crisp, white linen cloths, and guests are served on the salon’s signature St. James Eau de Nil china, a bright robin’s egg-blue pattern adorned with an eighteenth-century chinoiserie design. At Christmastime, afternoon tea is accompanied by classical carols, wafting from a grand piano nearby.
