Blossoms to Brighten Spirits
After the long months of winter, spring unfurls a glorious wash of fragrant splendor across the landscape. While it was once a common practice to gather flowers, herbs, and other offerings from the fields and forest to place in small May Day baskets hung on the doors of friends and neighbors, this tradition experienced a decline in the latter half of the twentieth century. Why not revive this charming expression of friendship by tucking a sweet selection of seasonal blooms into a woven container or a large piece of craft paper fashioned into a cone, alongside a thoughtfully penned note, and delivering it surreptitiously to someone dear to the heart?
