How to Make a Maypole
To craft a simple maypole for your festivities, affix a wooden disk securely to the top of a long dowel rod by using a screw. If desired, spray paint the pole to coordinate with a chosen color scheme. With a staple gun, attach long, colorful streamers of satin ribbon to the top of the disk, and hot glue an assortment of faux flowers to cover the stapled ribbons and crown the top of the pole. When finished, carefully plant the maypole in the desired location. Gather family and friends for a maypole dance, weaving intricate patterns that symbolize the intertwining of life, love, and community.
