
Even the tools of Rebecca’s trade are elegant—pearl-topped pins, velvet pincushions, slender-bladed scissors. Neatly folded vintage fabrics and remnants of rescued ecclesiastical vestments rub elbows with raised Ottoman embroidery and serpentine, metallic galons. Rebecca is quick to point out that these salvaged fragments are not museum-quality pieces but torn or damaged textiles that, with a bit of tender loving care, are given new life.
