Decorating this new acquisition has been a wonderful project for Josephine. Her daughter, Elizabeth McGiffert, introduced her to talented designer Harriet Adams, who helped create stunning interiors that truly reflect the heart of this gracious homeowner. In the larger of two living rooms, the ceiling is painted an ethereal blue, giving the illusion that it opens to the sky, while draperies in a lovely Scalamandré pattern frame large windows and draw eyes to classic dentil moulding. Pink silk fabrics in the master bedroom underscore the tranquil—and unmistakably feminine—ambiance, heightened by hand-painted walls featuring vines entwined with flowers.
