Within the same year, Pierre Jeufroy was appointed head of the house of Gien and broadened the public’s awareness of the brand. His work and improvements at Gien became known as the Pierre Jeufroy Era. He implemented a plan to create the Gien Faïencerie Museum and commissioned well-known artists, including illustrator Jean Cortot and designer Paco Rabanne, to design for the company.
Gien continues to embrace the traditional alongside the modern; their dedication to creating the best products of the highest quality has garnered them overwhelming success. With more than fifty different themes, including butterfly motifs and hunting scenes on exquisitely hand-painted items, one might find it quite a difficult task to settle on a favorite.
