The dining room table is set with an Old Paris dinner service from the mid-nineteenth century. Lance procured the 190-piece set for Sylvia, who has fond memories of a similar pattern that graced her grandmother’s table in this very place. The pattern’s wide ruby band, scalloped edges, and gilt details are perfect for this celebratory season. Vintage napkins from this same dear relative’s collection add a sentimental touch. Tiffin crystal stemware in the Melrose pattern and Reed & Barton’s Francis I sterling flatware finish the place setting.
At the center of the table is a fresh floral display comprising a medley of white blossoms and greenery flowing from a nineteenth-century English silver epergne, which measures more than three feet tall—a gift from the Rushings’ neighbors at Magnolia Glen. Ryan Dunagan, of The Pecan on Broad, created all the arrangements throughout Wakefield.
