As Victoria styled her products for promotion, she was drawn to stylish plates from Arte Italica. Like Crown Linen Designs, the Italian tabletop brand was founded by a passionate female entrepreneur with a vision of beauty. Ann Skidmore started Arte Italica in 1998 out of her garage in California, mixing Italian pewter with ceramics, slate, and glass. When Ann passed away in 2014, Chris Collins assumed ownership and later sold Arte Italica to Victoria. Though she never met her, Victoria finds that Ann holds a special place in the company’s heart. “I often feel her presence at work and hope, more than anything, that she would be pleased with today’s Arte Italica,” Victoria says.
