Above: The dining room’s French-appliqué wall covering was installed in the 1930s by Abraham Lincoln’s oldest granddaughter, Mamie. The Queen Anne–style table is set with Minton china, purchased when Robert served as the US Minister to the Court of St. James’s from 1889 to 1893.
