
The interior has been kept much the same as it was when the present Lord and Lady Anglesey occupied the entire mansion. The bedroom of Lord Anglesey contains a generations-old canopied bed; his personal effects and jacket remain in place at the bedside desk.
Although the stately home became a National Trust property in 1976, Lord Anglesey, the 7th Marquess, and Lady Anglesey still maintain their residence in a portion of the house, further contributing to the air of authenticity and aristocracy that infuses Plas Newydd.
