But Chappelle filled the home with a meticulously curated collection of antiques, while artwork and accessories from the homeowners’ cache mingle with newly purchased pieces. She used rich fabrics in warm tones for draperies and upholstery. Among her finds was a rare eighteenth-century spoolleg chair, nearly identical to one in Andrew Jackson’s Nashville estate.
“I learned early on to respect their opinions,” Lynn says of the designing triumvirate she entrusted to fulfill her wishes. And though she and Steve wouldn’t hesitate to do it all again, there is simply no need: the home is perfect in their eyes.
