As a child on an Oklahoma ranch, Toma Clark Haines, pictured above left, pored over her father’s National Geographic magazines, where images of gondoliers on the Grand Canal sparked her imagination. Who would have thought she would one day live in the very place of which she dreamed? Above right: A mix of French and Italian porcelain boxes is showcased in an early nineteenth-century lacquered cabinet.
