
Jefferson’s legacy lives on in the very soil that nourishes each seedling, each shoot, each twirling tendril that composes the continuing cultivation of his beloved land—a fertile tract that once inspired him to ask this rhetorical question: “And our own dear Monticello, where has Nature spread so rich a mantle under the eye?”
