Tea & Restoration at the Ackerman Heritage House

The elegantly appointed Grand Salon features four stained-glass windows in the recessed nook and an ornate gilded chandelier, all original to the space. The two sconces, shaped like griffins, were originally gas lamps. Although the fringed sofas are new, they were made to look period appropriate, while the chair in the far-right corner is antique but covered in fresh upholstery. Beneath the portrait on the right side of the room stands a circa 1700s bombe chest that belonged to Lauren’s mother. The salon boasts several sets of redwood pocket doors, not visible in the photograph.
