Snowy Milk Glass

Snowy Milk GlassWhether hand-blown or formed with a mould, all milk glass is created by adding opacifiers to the glass mixture during the melting process. These substances, such as tin oxide, form light-blocking particles within the glass itself, giving it a less translucent appearance. While the collectible’s name indicates the prevalence of the snowy shade, objects come in a rainbow of colors and are occasionally found with painted surfaces.
