Fragrant Adornments
Fresh-cut greenery imbues interiors with a glorious woodsy scent, and accents of fruit and flowers add their own enticing aromas to the mix. Placing this natural bounty in the entryway allows fragrance to permeate surrounding areas. The delicate notes of amaryllis, apple, and pear mingle subtly with the stronger essence of roses, oranges, and pine. To create a pleasing contrast of sweetness and spice, stud citrus varieties with whole cloves; tuck sprigs of rosemary into a lush floral garland; or add cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, and nutmeg to a simmering potpourri of water, cranberries, and lemon peel.
