Eloquent Simplicity

Eloquent Simplicity
The massive four-poster bed pictured above was purchased from one of Alex’s clients. The couple’s mutual love of interior design and antiques made the search for furnishings a thoroughly enjoyable adventure. As a textile designer and owner of The English Cloth Company, Freya instinctively knew how to create the cozy abode she envisioned for her family of four.

Eloquent Simplicity

Alex is a passionate gardener, so while the house was being refurbished, the half-acre garden received a makeover as well. He retained existing greenery and some old brick walls, while new additions include a pond, a fountain, a knot garden, and plum trees. He also added heirloom plantings to the garden, along with statuary, such as the fountain pictured above.

  1. Lovely homes but I have to say the fish pattern is just not my cup of tea. I could probably tolerate it if it were on a chair in the den or office or some other room in the home that was basically the domain of the male of the home and this were one of their hobbies. (Having a father growing up who was and is a massive steam locomotive and overall train nut I wonder how that translate to furniture upholstery?). But I can’t see this anyplace else. Any wife who allows this in her home is surely a loving and patient wife.
