Stirred by seaside wanderings, Alison shapes raw porcelain stoneware using one of three methods: pressing clay in a machine to produce plates and bowls; smoothing larger slabs by hand in a custom plaster mould; or slip-casting the most intricate of designs, such as those shown above.
