Christine based this costume on the circa 1810 red mesh dress with green chenille embroidery that was once displayed in London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. Though the original is adorned with roses, Christine wanted to add her own touch of whimsy. She created a digitized pattern—a method of painting and programming embroidery on a computer—and made her version of the frock featuring strawberries.
