In her own residence, this timeless look is accentuated by the exquisite details installed by the builder, who constructed this home for himself in the 1980s. These luxurious elements include grand crown moulding that Mallory promises she will never change. She balances such finery with items that her three children and their friends, who often visit, can touch or sit on without fear of causing damage. “I love antiques, but I love new things, too,” she says, “and I think that’s the secret to a space that looks beautiful but where you can also relax.”
