Exhibits include childhood books (above) that influenced her eventual work as an author and the Nativity scene (below) from Shepherds Abiding. Among other memorabilia on display at The Mitford Museum, fans of the series will discover original Mitford book cover art, the yellow backpack in Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good, and Christmas ornaments given to Jan by fans from around the country. At the desk where she wrote more than half of the beloved series, visitors may open drawers to discover a cache of personal artifacts.
