In 1775, the Royal Danish Porcelain Manufactory—now known as Royal Copenhagen—was founded by chemist Frantz Heinrich Müller under the auspices of Queen Juliane Marie. Keen-witted and strong-willed, she understood what a valuable component this industry would be to her nation’s economy.
