After readily admitting that she was “horse crazy” during her childhood, it is little wonder that Julie Wear forged a career as an equine portraitist. She started with Arabians—her husband formerly bred and trained the breed—and began painting Thoroughbreds when they moved to Kentucky nearly three decades ago.
