Piquant Salmon Canapés

Piquant Salmon Canapés boast a zesty combination that includes smoked salmon, horseradish, and a garnish of dill.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish, drained
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 slices very thin wheat bread, frozen
  • 1 (4-ounce) package sliced smoked salmon
  • Garnish: dill fronds
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, horseradish, and pepper, stirring well.
  2. Using a 2¼-inch square cutter, cut squares from bread slices, discarding crusts. Top bread squares with pieces of smoked salmon and a dollop of mayonnaise mixture.
  3. Serve immediately or cover with damp paper towels, place in a covered container, and refrigerate until serving time. Garnish with dill fronds, if desired.
