Lavender Glaze

Lavender-Vanilla Mini Cakes, take on the appearance of baskets with fondant handles and toppings of lemon glaze, colorful candy eggs, and culinary lavender.
Lavender Glaze
 
Makes approximately ½ cup
Ingredients
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • ¼ teaspoon to ½ teaspoon culinary lavender
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
  1. In a small heatproof bowl, combine milk and lavender. Heat in a microwave in 15-second intervals just until milk begins to steam. Cover and let cool completely.
  2. Strain milk through a fine-mesh sieve, discarding solids.
  3. In a small bowl, combine confectioner’s sugar and 1½ tablespoons lavender milk. Whisk together, adding up to an additional 1 tablespoon milk, until glaze is thick and combined. Use immediately.
