Using a small paring knife, cut 4 narrow strips of clementine peel. Rub the rim of each glass with the outside of the peel, and place in glass.
Halve clementine, and squeeze ¼ cup juice into a measuring cup.
Into each glass, pour 1 tablespoon juice and add 1 sugar cube; let sit for 5 minutes. Top each glass with 1 ounce gin and 2 ounces Champagne or Prosecco.
