White Cheddar Grits
 
Makes 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients
  • 1 (32-ounce) carton chicken broth
  • 1 cup stone-ground grits
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 cups shredded white Cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, bring broth to a boil over medium-high heat. Gradually whisk in grits, reduce heat to low, and cook, whisking occasionally, until grits are tender, about 25 minutes. Add cream and butter; cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Stir in cheese and pepper.
