The lounge is the perfect spot for Yuletide get-togethers. “It is the heart of the cottage,” explains Sarah, “and creates a cozy atmosphere in winter.” A huge inglenook fireplace spans one wall, and guests naturally converge here to soak up its warmth. The gathering might spill over into the conservatory, where exposed-brick walls lend plenty of character, and expansive windows offer views to the back garden.
