One Wreath—Five Ways

If you're pressed for time, settle for a classic, achievable look. Tie a wire-ribbon two-loop bow on a wreath. A solid red will do, but a pattern in gold or silver will dress it up. For an unexpected but effective way to display a wreath, prop it casually on a writing desk, a mantel, or a shelf.
If you prefer a traditional wreath for your front door, select basic colors. Here the silk plaid captures green, brown, and copper. Pinecones and brown glass baubles echo the palette. Just a few embellishments make this a handsome decoration.
For a stunning effect, place a footed serving piece such as a cake stand in the center of the wreath. Dusty Miller foliage, varying silver ribbons, and Nadinia domestic berries create a sophisticated color palette. As a sweet ending, serve luscious chocolates perfect for a dessert and coffee affair.

For other creative wreath ideas, see page 91 of the November/December issue of Victoria magazine.

a very large standing fan was too heavy for me to move at Christmas,so I turned the fan into a wreath on a stand.Wiring an untrimmed wreath to the fan trim,I decroated the wreath and ended up with a splendid decoration....on a stand!!!!!!
I know this not technically a wreath but it turned out so well. I grabbed a hanging basket that had a flat back and handle. Lined it with plastic. Sat my water oasis into it. Stuffed it full of fragrant pine. Then neatly tied a velvet ribbon and placed it purposely in the middle of all the pine. It looks simple and welcoming.
Thanks for the great ideas!
